Rules and Regulations Division

Rules and Regulations will be open to the public by appointment only, resuming Thursday, July 16, 2020.  Appointments may be scheduled by contacting our office by email at sos.rulesregs@nebraska.gov   or by telephone at 402-471-2385. 

Masks are requested for appointments.  If you don't have a mask, we can provide one to you. The office drop box, email and phone, are also available to assist with your Rules and Regulation needs.  Please view the email confirmation you receive, after scheduling an appointment, for additional information.  Once you arrive for a scheduled appointment please wait in your vehicle or outside the office, we will call you when we are ready for you to enter the office.  Please bring all necessary paperwork and payment to the appointment.  If you are unsure what information you need to bring or have questions please contact the office at 402-471-2385 or email at sos.rulesregs@nebraska.gov  

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing any symptoms please cancel the appointment.  Appointments are for a maximum of 25 minutes and available every half hour between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Appointments will end promptly after 25 minutes out of courtesy to the next customer and to keep appointments on time.

The Secretary of State's Office maintains the Nebraska Administrative Code. The office is responsible for the filing and certification of state agency rules and regulations, and making them available for public inspection. Copies of rules and regulations are provided online for free or a printed version is available from our office at a cost of $.25 per page.
